Stagecoach for Wells Fargo Bank Museum

July 20th, 2009

This is one of several stagecoach rides we restored for the Wells Fargo Bank Museums – . Obviously, the ride fit perfectly with the corporate theme! WF sent their custom colors and we even programmed the sound box to play a WF jingle. The ride at the Los Angeles location also appeared on the feature THE TODAY SHOW did on our company.

Kids aren’t the only ones who like to ride!

July 14th, 2009

As I have said many times, one of the fun things about Kiddie Rides USA is seeing all the fun and offbeat reasons why people purchase coin-operated rides. Below is a video sent to us by one of our friends, Martha, who is a dog trainer in CT. In addition to cute pictures, she says that having a dog be on and around a ride really helps in obedience training.

Kiddie Ride in Jerusalem, Israel

June 16th, 2009

I couldn’t resist getting on this kiddie ride in Jerusalem on our recent trip to Israel. It was located in front of an arcade in the Old City near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

The Lion Hunter

May 26th, 2009

This is the lion ride Mr DeWitt of Michigan purchased for his home and grandkids. Mr DeWitt hunts lions and other big game in Africa, and he wanted a ride that fit with the theme of his trophy room. A lion was the perfect and fitting choice. Mr DeWitt was one of the stories the Wall St Journal told about our customers in the article they did on Kiddie Rides USA –

Trigger horse Restoration Process

May 21st, 2009

We’re just starting to restore an antique Trigger horse named after Roy Roger’s horse. This ride was originally manufactured by the Exhibit Supply Company in Chicago in the 1950s. The picture is what it will look like when it is complete. This horse is a classic, and we don’t have a buyer for this horse, yet!

What Do I Do Every Day at Work?

May 20th, 2009

I get the question…”you do what?”…quite frequently.  Yes, I certainly have a fun, offbeat beat job running a business that restores coin operated kiddie rides.  So, what does a day in my life look like?  Well, here is a picture of me pulling a horse off the shelf for restoration.

Movie Prop – “Wanted” starring Angelina Jolie

May 18th, 2009

It is not uncommon for us to rent our rides for use in the filming for major Hollywood motion pictures.  Last year, we sent four coin-operated rides to Chicago to be used in the filming of “Wanted” starring Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman.  The four kiddy rides are seen outside a grocery store as Ms. Jolie chases the bad guys.

Twirlybird Parrot

May 14th, 2009

This is one creative artists way of turning the 1960s era Twirlybird Helicopter by All Tech into a fun parrot ride.  So do you like the original as pictured in the vintage ad or do you like the parrot version?twirly-bird-2
